AKC Star Puppy Class: $180
PUPPY KINDERGARTEN
6 weeks, 1 hour classes. Must have current vaccination records.
The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program is designed to focus on everything that puppies and their owners need to give them both the best possible start on their journey together. S.T.A.R. stands for Socialization, Training, Activity, and Responsibility. And that’s not just for puppies but for their owners too. These organized training classes also allow your puppy to socialize with other dogs.
You’ll learn how to deal with challenging puppy-raising issues, including housetraining, chewing, and basic obedience such as coming when called. At the end of the course, you and your puppy will need to take the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test. When you and your puppy have passed the test, you’ll receive an application to send to the AKC that will allow you to enroll in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program. This class will set you and your pup up to move on to Basic training and work towards your AKC Canine Good Citizen Program (CGC).
